| ARM AERO LIFT ANNOUNCES RE-DESIGNED AERO-LIFT SYSTEM |
Tucson, Arizona
Today, ARM Aerospace, LLC announced the introduction of its new and improved Aero-Lift aircraft storage hoist. Aero-Lift is a highly-engineered lift system that maximizes hangar space by allowing customers to store an aircraft above the hangar floor. Aero-Lift can safely and efficiently lift over 98% of all single engine, piston driven General Aviation aircraft. Marty Kolonel, who purchased the Arm Aerospace Company in February of 2008, says “Although I am not an engineer, I am fascinated with the ingenuity of the Aero-Lift concept because it has so much flexibility and is easily adapted to a wide range of aircraft.”
The new lift features a Harrington Hoist design replacing the previous jackscrew design, which while reliable, requires installation adjustment, frequent greasing and occasional parts replacement. Kito/Harrington is the largest producer of chain and wire rope hoists globally and is very well known as a provider of innovative, high quality crane and hoist products. Kolonel is excited about the new design, saying, “Aero-Lift engineers responded to customer requests to develop a new, simpler lift concept which retains the equities of our proven design, but provides easier installation, operation and maintenance. The new hoist installs in minutes, is grease free due to oil bath gearing, requires less ongoing maintenance and features a fail-safe, patented pull rotor self adjusting brake system for added safety.”
The Aero-Lift provides opportunities for private hangar renters, owners, FBOs, flight schools, paint shops and maintenance facilities to maximize hangar space, save money and gain easy access to aircraft, including unfettered access to the underside for maintenance and painting. “With Aero-Lift, your aircraft goes up, not out,” commented Kolonel.
