Nampa, ID – Precision Flight Training had a serious problem with hangar space: the 40 X 60 box hangar was being used to house a Cessna 150 and 152, a Trinidad, office space, storage and bathroom facilities. Gary Iverson, CFI, reports that moving around in the hangar was a real challenge. Then he purchased an Aero-Lift from ARM Aerospace and the problems disappeared.
"It wasnt so much a matter of walking around the hangar before, as crawling around the hangar", said Iverson. "It made training a challenge, especially when we had to roll an aircraft outside to do something as basic as a pre-flight. Once we got the Aero-Lift in here, we had room to move, to actually walk around. Pre-flights could be done inside on a rainy day, hangar rash diminished, and the daily bruising all but vanished."
Iversons story is typical of the response ARM Aerospace is getting from flight training operations around the world. While most Aero-Lift installations are done to beat hangar rents or generate revenue, this case simply makes life a whole lot easier for everyone by utilizing ceiling space that was unoccupied and otherwise useless. "It was the only way out", said Iverson. "We couldnt add on to the hangar footprint, but there was nothing to prevent us from thinking vertically."
ARM Aerospace provides High Density Hangar (HDH) solutions for individuals and commercial applications. ARMs solutions allow General Aviation aircraft to be "racked and stacked," which dramatically increases the number of aircraft that can be accommodated in existing hangars. The Aero-Lift and accessories can accommodate almost any type of single engine GA aircraft or helicopter. ARM Aerospace is headquartered in Tucson, AZ and maintains a presence on the web at www.armaerospace.com. Their phone number is 1.520.886.7329.
