AERO-LIFTS PROVIDE HANGAR RELIEF IN UNITED KINGDOM

Channel Islands, England – Recognizing the potential for increasing existing hangar utilization and revenue, Aircraft Servicing Guernsey on the Channel Islands Airport in the U.K., has installed five ARM Aerospace’ Aero-Lifts. To maximize storage capacity, the owners ordered the new “nose in” variation of the Aero-Lifts and report that the installations have suited their needs perfectly.

“Without having to break ground or having to raise a single I-beam for a new hangar, we’ve effectively increased the storage capacity of one of our box hangars by about 25 percent", said Mark Parr of ASG aviation. “The ARM concept of racking and stacking really works for us in a most economical and efficient way. We’ve had a hangar waiting list here for a long time and this allows us to take in four singles which we now stack over our twins. Those four additional hangar spaces result in revenues of just over $35,000 per annum.” Parr reported that the fifth lift, located in their maintenance shop, makes it easier to perform certain repairs or inspections. It also provides an indoor parking space for an aircraft when they are waiting for parts. That way they do not have to park partially assembled aircraft out on the ramp.

“We will definitely be adding more lifts to our maintenance bays,” said Parr, “and when we do build additional hangar space, we’ll plan on including an appropriate number of Aero-Lifts. It just makes good business sense.”

ARM Aerospace provides High Density Hangar (HDH) solutions for individuals and commercial applications. ARM’s solutions allow General Aviation aircraft to be “racked and stacked,” which dramatically increases the number of aircraft that can be accommodated in existing hangars. The Aero-Lift and accessories can accommodate almost any type of single engine GA aircraft or helicopter. ARM Aerospace is headquartered in Tucson, AZ, in the USA and maintains a website at www.armaerospace.com. Their phone number is 1.520.886.7329.
