STANDING OUT AT OSHKOSH 2004 WITH AERO-LIFT

Oshkosh, WI – Two aircraft assumed the “inflight” position at this year’s EAA AirVenture and were clearly visible to foot traffic as a result. An Aviat Husky and a Glasair Super II were hoisted ten feet above the ground on ARM Aerospace Aero-Lifts and could be seen from over two blocks away. Both exhibits drew considerable response from convention attendees, who were attracted by the aircraft as well as the device that held them aloft.

The Aero-Lift is intended to take advantage of overhead space existing in many hangars that often goes unused. With the lifting device in place, it is possible to raise one aircraft and park a second plane beneath it, effectively cutting hangar rent in half and doubling the number of aircraft that can be stored in the hangar. The rent savings quickly pays for the lift. Some aircraft owners consider the Aero-Lift a godsend at airports where there are long waiting lists for hangar space.

Glasair Aviation and Aviat Aircraft found the lifts so effective as a display for their products that they plan to use the devices again next year.

“Because of their location, the two lifts we set up at AirVenture for Aviat and Glasair, along with a third one at our own display, we had a steady flow of traffic enquiring about the Aero-Lift,” said ARM Aerospace’s Max Anhoury. “There are a lot of people who own more than one aircraft and FBO’s who can see the benefits of owning an Aero-Lift. It was our best convention. We sold the three display lifts that we took to Oshkosh and took a considerable number of additional orders.”
